Steel cord conveyor belts are among the strategic products of Iran’s mining industry. This is a product that is not currently manufactured domestically, and importing it results in an annual outflow of millions of dollars. The operation of this factory will not only meet the needs of domestic steel and mining plants but will also lead to annual savings of more than $10 million for the country, which can pave the way for better production, exports, and greater job creation. This project will directly and indirectly create 500 jobs, which is considered a significant transformation in the city of Aleshtar, the region where the factory is being constructed. This project is planned to produce 4,000 tons of conveyor belts per year, with a value of 20 million euros. The construction of the steel cord belt conveyor factory is a significant industrial event in the heart of Aleshtar city, a place whose potential was overshadowed by deprivation and unemployment among its talented youth. With the anticipation of all sustainable development components, especially environmental considerations, the region has taken on an industrial hue, and a fresh scent of hope has been breathed into the hearts of its noble people, also painting a bright future for the children of this region.

This project has been initiated by Kanisco Company as the employer. The project is planned and implemented through cooperation between several companies. The supervisory role of this project will be undertaken by “Amatis Robin” Consulting Engineering Company, which is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and quality control of the project. The construction is being carried out by the partnership of two capable companies: Gostaresh Steel Industries Company and Sepahan Beyond Research Company. The contract for this project was concluded on May 10, 2024, and was officially notified on May 12, 2024. The project execution period is considered to be 24 months, and the official commencement of executive operations was on June 10, 2024. In this partnership, the engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, and installation of all site buildings are the responsibilities of Sepahan Beyond Research Company. Currently, the project engineering phase is being carried out by the project engineering team at Sepahan Beyond Research Company in collaboration with the project’s foreign consultant, REDA, a company from China. The procurement, construction, and installation of the project’s auxiliary buildings have been completed by Sepahan Beyond Research Company, and the tender process for selecting the steel structure contractor for the industrial buildings is currently underway. It is anticipated that the construction and installation of the steel structure of the industrial buildings will be completed by the third quarter of 2025. It is also worth mentioning that the procurement phase of domestic and foreign packages of the project is being pursued, and it is anticipated that these phases will be completed by the end of 2025
